Cherry Multi-Tiered Chest This site is dedicated to the highly-skilled designs in wood produced by my retired craftsman father. As a child, I grew up with his hand-made toys from scale-model boats to float in the bath, the most sophisticated 'go kart' you could ever hope to see and his work has evolved through building and architectural design as he followed his career. Now that he is retired, he has returned to the woodcraft he enjoys most and is striving to produce increasingly elaborate and intricate designs using natural timbers and finishes of the highest quality to become unsurpassed works of art. His work is exceptional and of the highest quality demonstrating his natural flair with his designs being inspired by Nature combined with his love of symmetry and geometric pattern. Most of the floral designs are drawn directly from hedgerow plants or a single garden flower or leaf from his home in rural Herefordshire while the rabbit marquetry was inspired by a long-term family interest. His woodwork is purely his hobby and interest rather than being any form of commercial activity, although several of the items shown are available for sale. Any sales proceeds are used to purchase new highly-specialist timbers for his next creation. Each piece can take months (or years) of dedication to produce - as shown for each item illustrated. We hope you will enjoy sharing his hobby.
