An attractive 2-drawer chest constructed in cherry with 2 opening drawers and lift-up lid.
Similar to all the pieces included within these pages, when there is a reference to veneer, it is important for the reader to appreciate these are hand sawn veneers of 1/8th" (3mm) in thickness, similar to those used on classical 18th century furniture, ie. these are not the almost transparent wafer thin timber 'peelings' which we are now so familiar with on modern production furniture of even a reasonable quality. This applies to the inset diamond of this piece, with the triple veneers of Mahogany, Maple and English Walnut.
