Terms and Conditions:

 

Prices:  All prices and postal charges on this site are clearly stated and prices shown on the order form are inclusive of postage.

The CD and DVD guides can be sent anywhere in the UK or to overseas addresses.   

DVDS are normally available in both  DVD+ and DVD- formats.   Computer DVD drives and DVD players might not be compatible with both formats so please check which is the suitable format for your computer DVD drive or DVD player before ordering.  Most modern DVD players will be able to play both types but some computer DVD drives may play only DVD+ or DVD-.  Look for the DVD+ and/or DVD- logos in your instruction manual to check which is compatible with your computer's DVD drive.  

If any item is out of stock then we would normally indicate this on the site.  In the unlikely event of any item being out of stock and this not being advised on the site then we will notify you of this on receipt of your order and offer you the option of cancellation (with full refund) or waiting until stocks are available.  

Payment Methods:   All online payments are processed by PayPal.  Please contact us if you wish to pay by postal cheque.

Delivery:  Orders are usually dispatched within 1-3 days of receiving your order (or upon clearance of funds for cheque payments).  Where possible, we will dispatch on the date of receiving your order.  If there is likely to be any delay then we would notify you of this as soon as possible and offer the option of cancellation with full immediate refund or agree a revised time for delivery. 

All prices include postage and packing to UK or OVERSEAS addresses.

If you would like to purchase bulk quantities of more than 50 copies of any single title, please contact us for our trade rates.

Security:  All transactions are processed through PayPal's Secure Server.  You will be emailed a notification of your transaction as soon as it is completed.

Advertising:  All our advertising meets the conditions of the Advertising Standards Authority code and our website will contain no advertising material from other people or organisations.

Consumer law:  We guarantee to meet our obligations under the consumer protection laws currently in force including:

Your details:  We provide our full contact details on our website including our phone number, an address for correspondence and an email address.  Normally emails are responded to within 48 hours.

Refunds: We offer an immediate refund or exchange if your CD or DVD disk should prove defective.  If any item is damaged in transit then please advise us of this immediately.  We always obtain a Certificate of Posting for all orders which provides compensation up to £28.  Higher value orders will be insured to cover their full value.  

Guarantees: We offer a full money-back guarantee on all our goods. Should any be found to be defective then we offer a replacement service at no cost to the customer. This guarantee does not affect your statutory rights.

Returned items:  Unless exempted from the Distance Selling Regulations, there is a 7 day cooling off period for all goods ordered.  Any goods to be returned should be returned sealed, unused, unopened and in their original condition at your own expense.   

Please note that, like all computer software, CDs and DVDs,  the Distance Selling Directive exempts unsealed computer software, including CDs and DVDs from the cooling off period.

Solving disputes:  For any disputes whatsoever we are governed by UK law.

Customer support and service:  We provide an email address and strive to respond to all email enquiries within 48 hours, but usually within 24 hours. 

Trade Terms:  Trade rates are available for Tourist Information Centres, Accommodation Establishments, Visitor Attractions, Bookshops and other retail stores wishing to stock the Guides.  Please contact us for details.

Computer Hardware Requirements:

PC or Mac with CD drive to play CDs or DVD drive to play DVDs or CDs, 128mb RAM minimum recommended for Windows users. 

Windows Media Player, Real Player or QuickTime is required for video playback.  

Real Player and QuickTime can be downloaded free of charge via links on the CD/DVD.

The software required for running the CDs/DVDs is included on the disks

 

The Area Guides and Photographic Journeys are available on computer DVD (DVD+ or DVD- formats) can be read on any computer with a DVD drive and all software is included.

The Slideshows are available in both PAL and NTSC formats on DVD+ and DVD- format disks.

DVD (TV) - A single DVD slideshow which can be played in any DVD player to be viewed on your television.  These are produced in PAL format  (which is standard for UK and most European televisions) and NTSC - please allow an extra 2 days as these are produced individually to order.  Although intended for TV viewing, these DVDs may also play on your computer DVD drive if you have suitable DVD player software installed.   DVD+ and DVD- formats are available.  Most modern DVD players will read either format but some older models might play only one type so please check before ordering.  Picture quality is higher on DVD than Video-CD.

Video CD - A slideshow on CD which can be played in any DVD player to view on your television.  These are produced in PAL format  (which is standard for UK and most European televisions) but NTSC is available on request - please allow an extra 2 days as these are produced individually to order.  Although intended for TV viewing, these DVDs might be played on some personal computers depending on video software available.  The picture quality of a video-CD is lower than the DVD slideshow.  Please request a video CD at the checkout if you prefer this format to DVD.
